Koko
I noticed KokoStudio's work while browsing the Domino Magazine Flickr Group today. I find her work inspiring and dreamy.

Miss Dior Cherie
I just love the styling in this Miss Dior Cherie ad! Directed by Sofia Coppola, it's a whimsical little ditty. Perfume commercials don't usually hook me in, but I want to check this scent out now.

Holiday Plates
Spotted in this month's Elle Decor, two well-designed takes on the holiday dinner plate:

FLOCKS
Wouldn't it be so nice to sprawl out on this huge hand knit rug? It's made by FLOCKS from the wool of 18 merino sheep.
I'm imagining all sorts of cozy activities taking place on a rug like this: sipping hot chocolate while watching a movie or reading a good book, wrapping presents, or playing a board game with a group of friends.

Simrin
I'm diggin' the home-goods over at Simrin. The products are inspired by vintage fabrics, natural organic forms & algorithmic patterns. Above are the multiple styles of laminated fabric trays from the Surya collection. Below are the trays from the Nature collection.
Each pattern collection also features a variety of tablecloths, place mats & napkins {below, right}. The site recently debuted glassware which is also available in both of the above patterns, as well as the fun, new, kitschy Icon {below, left}.

Viva Terra
I think these Recycled Glass Balloon Vases are marvelous. Their lopsided imperfectness totally does it for me.

Erie Basin
Erie Basin is a fantastic source for 19th and 20th century antique jewelry, as well as for contemporary pieces by modern day jewelers whose work lends a nod to yesteryear. The shop features bits of adornment that are carefully selected, mindfully chosen and brilliantly crafted.

Emo-broidery
The witty craftsters at Miso Funky are stitching up a different type of cross-stitch sampler than the kind your Granny makes.
These samplers catch you off guard & crack you up -- unless you are easily offended {there are a few on the brasher side}. I happen to adore them. "Hand-stitched in hell!," as their website proudly proclaims.

Wishful Thinking
I've had my eye on this lovely folk art hand towel ever since Melinda & I were paired together in Jamie's swap earlier this summer. I decided to purchase it just now from Melinda's Etsy Shop as a little birthday present to myself. She recently added a bunch of new treasures as well. Go take a look -- she's really good at the hunt & the find!

Great Journeys
Penguin Books has an incredible series called 'Great Journeys', which features twenty real-life adventure stories written by history's greatest explorers. "Around the world in twenty books!" as their website puts it.
The series includes works by Sir Richard Burton, Herodotus, Anton Chekhov, James Cook, George Orwell, Marco Polo and Mark Twain, spanning the centuries from the ancient world of 4th century B.C. to the early 20th century.
The amazing cover artwork is done by David Pearson Design. I love how each cover has a simple color scheme & vintage feel. I think a poster of all the book covers would look amazing in a home office or studio space.
The Australian Penguin site gives the best descriptions of each book. I am setting a long-term goal to collect & read each work of literature in this series. I think it would be an amazing collection to own & one day pass down.
Also, check out the Great Loves and Great Ideas series.
